TV Connect is one of the leading global events that focuses on the connected entertainment industry. The event brings together a mix of leaders in OTT TV, pay-TV, broadcast, cable, broadband and telco. The theme for this year’s event was “Disruptive Convergence: Redefining the audience-driven TV world.”
Leading CSPs such as BT and Orange participated in sessions on OTT, VoD, and Customer experience. Attendees heard predictions that multiple multinational video platforms will be the driving force in the connected entertainment industry in 2017 and beyond, according to a white paper by Ovum analysts that was released at the event. One of the interesting panels at the event, discussed the Impact of Evolving TV Distribution Models on Monetization Opportunities, MTS, Amdocs and other leading players participated. Amdocs also met with major service providers from around the world, demonstrating how they can move from household to viewer management, consolidate modem portal for viewer with all their customized needs, integrate with backend for managing services and billing, upsell options with promotions and additional services like the “smart home”, as well as realize flexible subscription monetization.
Amdocs showcased two solutions at TV Connect 2017 that give media and service providers the tools to rapidly launch and profit from entertainment services. The first is an OTT Media Solution, which rapidly launches, monetizes and scales premium OTT video services to the home and on-the-go.
